As we look back at our life, have we ever stopped and thought about the many Blessings (Spiritually and Physically) we may have missed? Though some Blessings we think we are to receive may be God keeping us from them until we correct some things in our life. How can we expect God to TRULY Bless us if we are still holding back on WHOLEHEARTEDLY serving Him??? It could be that God is teaching us patience and humility.
(Deuteronomy 8:2-5)
Another reason we may be held back from our blessing could be from someone not obeying God to be a blessing to us. For example: If I'm praying and believing for God to bless me and I even sowed with a clean heart on good ground for my blessing and God speaks to a friend of mine and tell them to sow into my life and my friend decides to not listen to God because he or she has their "self" or "worldly situations" on their mind, my blessing is delayed. Notice I said "delayed" because it won’t be denied: GOD CAN’T FAIL and HIS WORD IS TRUE. Though my friend did not obey God, God will definitely see that I receive what was in His plan for me to receive.
Just as God had a plan when He created Adam and Eve; the plan to establish a relationship between Him and man. Man was to love and worship God out of faith and obedience, but failed when he ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2). This brought on pain, suffering, death and separation from God. God could’ve easily kept it this way, but because HE CAN’T FAIL and HIS WORD IS TRUE, He sent Jesus Christ into the world to re-establish that relationship with us.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:17)
Isn't He such an AWESOME God?!!!!
When we don't obey the action God gives us to be a blessing to someone, whether it’s sharing a kind smile, words of encouragement, or blessing someone with food, clothes, or money, we hinder God’s plan. (There are so many other ways to be a blessing).
The challenge for us is to MOVE when God speaks. (You know how some people say that “something” told them to do it…well, that something is the Holy Spirit speaking to you)
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:7-12)
“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38)
